Charlotte Davis

Dalhousie University

My name is Charlotte Davis (she/her). I am a white settler of mixed European ancestry, and I grew up an uninvited guest on the unceded and unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. I have an M.A. in Philosophy from Western University and I am an incoming PhD student in Philosophy at Dalhousie University, with an interest in applied moral philosophy, Critical Race Theory, anti-colonial theories, and environmental philosophy. I am interested in questions about how philosophical and ethical engagement can be fostered through anti-colonial and anti-oppressive pedagogies and in ways that decenter whiteness and disrupt colonial structures. In my spare time, I love reading, spending time in nature, going for runs, and trying new vegan recipes.
